MISSION STATEMENT


To assist, in a variety of ways, graduating high school students who live in East Palo Alto or Belle Haven communities and are planning on attending a college or university.






GOALS




To provide scholarships to graduating high school students who will be attending a college or university. The students must live in East Palo Alto or Belle Haven communities. We are doing this and have done this since we awarded our first scholarship in May 1992. To have a mentoring program for students in East Palo Alto and Belle Haven. To have enough resources to be able to provide $1000 for graduate students. To start a deferred giving program, ie. Charitable Remainder Unitrusts etc. Get the Association's Scholarship program listed as beneficiary in Wills and in Living Trusts as a way to build an endowment.

We were incorporated in November 1990 and received our tax exemption from the IRS in June 1991.
